What is Icon Origins?
Icon Origins celebrates where legends began. Our flagship design captures the date and place tied to the first time an icon stepped into the spotlight.
Every piece is inspired by the origins of greatness in sports and music, turning those beginnings into wearable stories.
The goal is simple. Wear it began.
How do I find my favorite icon?
You can browse by sport, music genre, or era, or simply use the search bar at the top of the page.
What products do you offer?
We currently offer three main apparel styles:
Origin Tee (Solid Print)
Our vintage-inspired tees use soft 52/48 cotton-poly heathers for that lived-in feel with a clean, solid graphic print. Lightweight, soft, and versatile.
Comfort Colors (Distressed Print)
A heavier premium tee with a slightly faded, vintage-style distressed graphic. These shirts have a more relaxed fit and a soft, broken-in feel.
Hoodie (Solid Print)
A mid-weight hoodie featuring the same clean solid graphic design. Soft on the inside, durable on the outside, and made for effortless everyday comfort.
Why are some graphics distressed?
Our Comfort Colors tees feature a distressed graphic to match the vintage look and feel of the garment itself. The slightly worn design is intentional and gives the shirt a timeless, lived-in aesthetic.
Origin Tees and Hoodies use a solid graphic style for a sharper, modern look.
How are your shirts made?
Every piece is made to order, never mass-produced or left in a warehouse. We use premium fabrics that balance comfort, durability, and style. What you get is authentic, well-made, and designed to be worn again and again.
Ordering & Products
Will my item look exactly like the photos?
Our product images are designed to show the style and feel of each tee. The shirt you receive will stay true to the design, but minor variations can happen.
Screens display color and brightness differently, and garment-dyed or heather fabrics can vary slightly from batch to batch. Our lifestyle and hero graphics try to represent true look and feel however they are never 100% accurate. To get the closest look - look for the "standard" image of the product (white background). That will be the closest to what you'll get.
Print placement has a small tolerance (about ±0.5”), and cotton may shrink a touch after the first wash. We choose fabrics and inks carefully to keep these differences minimal while ensuring every piece looks great and keeps the origin story alive.
How do I choose the right size?
Most tees run XS–3XL and hoodies S–3XL (availability can vary by style/color). Please check our size charts carefully before purchasing. Since each piece is made to order, we’re unable to accept returns for size issues.

Do you restock sold-out items?
Because every item is made to order, we rarely “run out.” If a style or color disappears, it usually means it was discontinued by our supplier.
Can I cancel or change my order?
Because production starts quickly, cancellations or changes aren’t always possible. If you need to make a change, email info@iconorigins.com right away — if production hasn’t begun, we’ll do our best.
Can I buy this as a gift?
Yes — our orders don’t include pricing in the package, so you can ship directly to someone else. The full receipt only goes to the buyer by email.
Shipping
When will my order arrive?
Most orders arrive within 7–10 business days from the time they are placed.
Each item is made to order, meaning it’s created specifically for you rather than pulled from a warehouse. This helps maintain quality and reduce waste.
Delivery times may vary slightly depending on location, and you’ll see an estimated delivery window at checkout.
⏱️ Note: Orders shipping outside the continental U.S. (e.g. Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, U.S. territories) may require a few additional business days.
Why did only part of my order arrive?
To get items to you faster, some orders ship from different facilities and may arrive in separate packages with separate tracking. You’ll receive a tracking email for each shipment.
Do you ship internationally?
We currently ship only to the regions shown at checkout. We’re always exploring ways to expand.
What about holiday orders/delays?
During peak seasons, print providers and carriers can run a little slower. Ordering early is the best way to make sure your gift arrives on time.
How do I track my order?
You’ll get a tracking link by email as soon as your order ships, so you can follow it right to your door.
What if my package is marked “Delivered” but I didn’t get it?
We know how frustrating that can be. Sometimes carriers mark a package as delivered a little early, or it may have been left with a neighbor or at a side entrance. We recommend double-checking around your home and with neighbors first. If it still doesn’t turn up, please contact your local carrier or post office with the tracking number for more details.
Returns & Refunds
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
If your item arrives defective, damaged, or misprinted, contact us at info@iconorigins.com within 30 days. We’ll replace or refund.
Because each item is made-to-order, we can’t accept returns for sizing or buyer’s remorse. Please check sizing before ordering to ensure the right fit.
Are shipping fees refundable?
Shipping fees cover the carrier’s service, so they’re non-refundable.
What if there’s a problem with my order?
Email info@iconorigins.com within 30 days and include:
- Your order number
- A brief description of the issue
- Clear photos of the item (front design), the garment tag, and any packaging/labels
This helps us replace or refund you quickly.
Payments
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, PayPal, Shop Pay, Google Pay, and other options shown at checkout.
Is my payment secure?
Absolutely. All payments are encrypted and securely processed by Shopify. We never see or store your card details.
When will my card be charged?
Payment is processed at checkout. This ensures your order goes straight into production right away.
Privacy
Do you sell my personal information?
Never. Your information is safe with us — we only use it to process your order and keep you updated.

About Our Designs
How do you decide which moments to feature?
Sports: We use the first meaningful professional appearance as our reference point. That may be a first start or an early game where an athlete made an impact. Sometimes it’s not the literal first game or minute on the court/field, but the moment their story truly began.
Music: We research dates using trusted sources, public archives, and cross-checking multiple references. Still, origins aren’t always clear-cut, so we try to select the milestone most widely recognized by fans, collectors, and experts.
Our goal isn’t to rewrite history, but to spark conversation and celebrate where it all began.
Can I suggest an icon or moment?
Absolutely! We're constantly adding icons but if there’s someone or something you think we’ve missed, email us at info@iconorigins.com. Please include the name, date, and any details you’d like us to consider — it helps us research and keep the story accurate.
We can’t guarantee every suggestion will be produced, but we review them all.
Do you take custom dates or special requests?
We don’t take full customs yet, but limited requests may be possible for a fee. Reach out and we’ll let you know what’s possible. info@iconorigins.com
Care Instructions
How should I wash my shirt/hoodie?
To keep your shirts/hoodies Iconic please:
- Machine wash cold, inside-out.
- Tumble dry low or hang dry.
- Avoid ironing directly over printed areas to protect the design.
